Three Point Landings! (Plural)
Written by Quincy Follweiler Wednesday, 21 April 2010 11:43
Bonnie and I had an opportunity to go and visit our family in February and had a wonderful time of getting reacquainted with our Grandkids along with meeting our newest Granddaughter, Liberty! It was amazing and we were worn out by the time we got home. We spent much of our time in a pile if kids. We cannot wait to go again! The return trip was an adventure for sure. We made multiple 3 point landings along the way. When we returned we hit the ground running on several projects that we had begun before going on vacation. Including our New Home Group that meets at our home on Tuesday Evenings. I thought I would spend a little space to share what's been going on.

On line Streaming of the Worship Cafe Services.
September of last year we started experimenting with streaming our services live on the Internet. It was some what low in quality at first but it was a start. To our amazement, we actually had people logging in to watch! We've continued to work on the quality and pray about how God might use this ministry. Since, we average around 150 computers that log on per weekend. I say computers because many times there are more than one person gathering around a single computer screen to watch. We are excited to see where God will take this ministry. If you are unable to come and would like to watch a live service, just go to www.vcflongview.org and click on V-TV. -
New Website
We work very hard to be on the cutting edge with our Valley website. With well over 44 thousand page views, it just makes sense. With that we have been working very hard on a new Valley website that hopefully has already been launched and you have seen the result of that hard work. With the rise in popularity of Social Network sites like FaceBook and many others, we felt the need and thought it important enough to include our very own social network. We have called it V-Net. With this every registered member can create a dynamic profile and share with other registered friends. It will also connect with your Face Book and Twitter! Be sure to register for our new Valley Website. Www.vcflongview.org -
Audio & Visual Upgrades
In the past several months we have worked to upgrade the audio equipment and Computer software in the Sanctuary to improve your worship experience. Hopefully you've noticed! -
We installed a New Digital CD recorder to record the services each week. Hopefully you have heard the difference in the sound quality of the music and message!
-
We have added new speakers that have enhanced the clarity and sound quality in the live service.
-
Most recently we have updated the Projection software (Song Show Plus) on the computer in the Sanctuary. This should help increase the quality in production since the updated software has many new features.
We are planning more upgrades for the Sanctuary to help our members and visitors to have a enhanced worship experience in the Celebration Service at Valley. As usual we are always looking for volunteers to help out in the many ministry opportunities here at Valley. Please contact me if you are interested.
There is just so much that is going on here at Valley. I am so excited to see how much God is blessing us in our midst. My greatest fear is that somehow I might get in the way and mess it up. I pray everyday that it would not be the case. We are witnessing what God can do when a church body only wants to follow His will and purpose. My prayer is that we not go ahead of God but walk with him in step with His perfect will for Valley Christian Fellowship. The sky's the limit!
Blessings to you!
Sincerely,
Quincy Follweiler
