Monday Memo for November 23, 2020

Hey Valley! What are the rhythms of your life and what do you do when they get thrown off? I know for me, our weekend gathering is one of the moments of consistent encouragement. It connects me to those I love and share a common faith with. That did make this past weekend difficult, yet we were still able to stream the worship service and remember some incredible truths even if we were not physically together. I hope you were encouraged by Stephen Hall's message and I thought it was cool to see how many people shared or engaged on the Facebook thread! If you want to you can find the message here and the notes/discussion guide here. To continue to be cautious we are going to wait the full 14 days from potential exposure of some in our leadership to resume in-person services. This coming weekend we will only do our live stream but do plan to gather again in person the first weekend in December. Thank you again for your patience, understanding, and most of all for your prayer. Finally let me wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving! I know that there is always discouragement and challenges, yet as believers in Christ we always have reason to give thanks! I pray your celebration, in whatever form it takes this year, is full of joy and peace. If you are interested, this week's VCF podcast is on thankfulness and I encourage you to check it out. It ends with some practical activities to make Thanksgiving a true time of gratitude.
