Monday Memo, May 18th

Hey Valley! This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

I love it when my mind is drawn to this text first thing in the morning. It shapes everything about the day. No matter how hard things are, or what  challenges exist, this day is a gift from the Lord and we can rejoice! In his character, in his salvation, in his presence! We can even rejoice in the little things like a good cup of coffee:) What are you rejoicing in today? Maybe hit reply and share with me, I would love to rejoice with you. One other reason we can rejoice is our access to God in prayer. This past weekend we saw that "We need to pray, and we need to pray correctly." I encourage you to give it another listen this week and grow in your understanding and practice of prayer. You can find it here. Also, a special thanks to Nancy Gambaro, Stephen Hall, Chris Graham, Tommy Jones, Nancy Park and Wendy Pastor for praying for us all at the end of the message! This coming weekend we are going to begin our series on how Jesus teaches us to pray. You can preview it in Matthew 6:9-13. Along with the new series, we are preparing to do a drive-in service this weekend. The details are still being ironed out and we will let ya know when we have more to share.  Loving People Toward Jesus,

Pastor Mike

[11] Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. [12] For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.  Ephesians 6:10–12
