VCF Corona Virus: Update

Dear Valley Family,

As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to become an increased health risk, the Elders of Valley believe it is wise to cancel in-person services for this coming weekend. Instead, we are going to only have online services. We know this is not ideal but it is the right thing for now. We want to respect our community by doing our part in preventing any spread of this virus.

That said, here is the plan:

We are going to live-stream our 6 pm Saturday night and 11 am Sunday morning service. You will find the live-stream on our Facebook page.

Pastor Mike is going to share a message on hope and opportunity in fearful moments.

We are going to have a digital connection card where you can let us know you are attending and share prayer requests and needs by texting (360) 261-2734

We are asking that each person of Valley attempts to communicate with a handful of people in our church family. We want to know everyone is ok and not seeing one another at a service makes that difficult. Please email office@vcflongview.org and let us know who you have connected with and share any needs you know of in the church body.

If you cannot live-stream, we plan on getting a DVD of our service to you early next week. If you desire one simply email or text the above contacts.

For those who support the ministry and mission of Valley, we encourage you to give online at or to mail any offering to:

Valley Christian Fellowship 2911 Pacific Way Longview, WA 98632

Our midweek youth and kids programs are suspended until further notice. Life Groups will meet as group leaders decide.Next week we will provide an update about future plans.

Finally, let us remember together that God is still faithful and in control. Trying times like this call us to trust him and actually lead us to grow in our faith. I want to encourage you to prepare and be to wise but also not give in to fear. I love the declaration in Psalm3:3–4 “But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill.” He is our shield and our hope is in God!

Loving people toward Jesus,

Valley Elders
